Privacy Policy

TwoFolds is designed as an offline-first, private-by-design application. We believe your financial data should be yours alone. This policy explains our commitment to your privacy and the technical architecture that supports it.

1. Data Storage & Ownership

The core principle of TwoFolds is that we never see your data.

  • On-Device Storage: All your portfolio entries, assets, and transactions are stored locally on your device.
  • iCloud Sync: We use Apple's CloudKit service to sync your data between your own devices. This data resides in your personal iCloud container, protected by your Apple ID security.
  • No Tracking: We do not use analytics, session tracking, or any form of usage data collection. We do not know who you are or how you use the app.

2. Account Identifiers

To enable features like Portfolio Sharing, we use Sign in with Apple (or Google). We only receive a unique, app-specific identifier. If you choose to share your email during sign-in, it is used solely to identify you to other users you intentionally collaborate with.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide real-time valuation, the App fetches market data from established providers. These requests contain ticker symbols but no personal information:

  • CoinGecko: For cryptocurrency price data.
  • Yahoo Finance: For stocks, ETFs, and index data.
  • Eurostat: For currency exchange rates.
  • Sentry: We use Sentry solely for crash reporting to ensure app stability. No portfolio data or personal identifiers are included in these reports.

4. Your Rights & Control

Because we do not store your data on our servers, you have ultimate control:

  • Access & Portability: Your data is always accessible on your device and can be exported via the app's interface.
  • Deletion: Deleting the app removes local data. You can purge all iCloud data via the "Delete All Data" feature in the App Settings.
  • Revocation: You can stop sharing portfolios or revoke authentication access at any time through your device settings.
